Clash of Clans Witch/skeleton

Clash of Clans Witch/skeleton

The Witch has the power to summon an infinite number of Skeletons to combat your foe, while this creature on its own is not much of a danger.

Clash of Clans witch/skeleton Summary

  • Clash of Clans Witch/Skeleton is a type of Dark Elixir Troops.
  • The Witch spawns Skeletons, troops with less health than Barbarians but increased speed.
  • In the event of a Skeleton attack, it is crucial to note that no specific target is in mind. The Skeletons will relentlessly charge towards the nearest building. However, if provoked or in the vicinity of friendly troops under attack by enemy Clan Castle troops, Heroes, or Skeleton Trap skeletons, the Skeletons will not hesitate to fight back. Once the threat has been eliminated, they will continue their attack on the closest structure with a vengeance. Remain vigilant and prepared to defend your territory at all costs.
  • While tanks may be effective at defending individual buildings from direct attacks, they are highly susceptible to damage from area-of-effect attacks. This vulnerability must be considered when considering their use in defensive strategies.
  • Skeletons occupy precisely one unit of housing space when subjected to certain spells and traps.
  • Note that Skeletons cannot trigger Traps or force the Clan Castle to deploy its troops, and they are impervious to harm from them. However, the Skeletons will not be spared if any other troop sets off the Trap. Curiously enough, Skeletons can activate Hidden Teslas even though traps cannot detect them.

Strategy

Offensive

  • Ensure the preservation of Skeletons by refraining from attacking defensive structures that can cause damage to multiple targets.
  • Witches can utilize skeletons as an effective shield crafted from bones to safeguard themselves against other forms of defense.
    • It is important to note that due to their melee range, Witches have the potential to enter the blind spot of defensive structures such as the Mortar or Scattershot. This can leave the Witches vulnerable and exposed to these defenses.

Defensive

  • With the addition of Witches to your Clan Castle, an army of Skeletons will rise to defend your territory. The sheer number of Skeletons that can be summoned with multiple Witches is enough to crush any attacker who dares to cross your path.
  • If you want to effectively handle Skeletons, relying solely on single-target defenses like Cannons won’t cut it. They simply cannot eliminate hordes of these sub-troops in one shot. You need to have splash-damaging defenses like the Mortar, the Wizard Tower, and the Bomb Tower in order to effectively deal with them. You should prioritize leveling up Mortars and Wizard Towers as much as possible so they can one-shot Skeletons and leave the Witch exposed to your defenses. For even better results, use Inferno Towers set to multi-target mode as they are highly effective at eliminating Skeletons and can even target the Witch.
  • Minions or a Dragon can easily defeat Skeletons since they are unable to attack flying units, leaving them vulnerable to these powerful air troops.
  • Skeletons may not be able to trigger traps, but that doesn’t mean they’re immune to their effects. Bombs and Giant Bombs can easily wipe out entire armies of Skeletons, provided another troop triggers them. Additionally, Bomb Towers can cause significant damage to Skeletons upon being destroyed and can be activated without the help of another troop.

History

  • The game was updated on July 29, 2013, to include Skeletons.
  • On December 16, 2015, the Skeleton’s HP was decreased during the maintenance break.
  • On March 21, 2016, the “Bowler” update was implemented, which resulted in a reduction of Skeletons’ HP and prevented them from triggering traps.
  • As of June 11, 2018, the “Town Hall 12” update has made a notable change to the Witch character in the game. The update has increased the number of Skeletons summoned by Witch at all levels to 4 while retaining the maximum number of summoned skeletons the same. This change can enhance your gameplay experience and make it more exciting.

Trivia

  • It should be noted that upon upgrading the Witch, the Skeleton’s stats and appearance will remain unchanged, just like the Lava Pup.
  • In battle, you must stick to a maximum of 644 Skeletons fighting for your cause. These Skeletons are sourced from two methods only. The first method is 28 Witches, which are all at maximum level. These Witches spawn 14 Skeletons each, comprising 25 fully upgraded Army Camps and 3 from a level 8 Clan Castle. The second method is 14 max-level Skeleton Spells, with 11 stored in your spell storage and 3 donated into the same Clan Castle. Each spell spawns 18 Skeletons, and that’s all you can have.
    • Consider the time when the temporary Skeleton Barrel troop was available. At that point, a Town Hall 13 army would possess 60 Skeleton Barrels, spawning 900 Skeletons (15 per barrel). If the army had three maxed Clan Castle Witches (14 Skeletons per Witch, totaling 42), three maxed Clone Spells (which can clone 18 more Skeleton Barrels, summing up to an additional 270 Skeletons), and four maxed Skeleton Spells (which spawn 18 Skeletons each, totaling 72), the total number of Skeletons would escalate to 1,293.
  • It is imperative to note that if a Witch is present in your Clan Castle and summons Skeletons during a defensive maneuver, said Skeletons will not make their way back to the Clan Castle.
  • The health bar of Skeletons in The Skeleton Trap does not include a skull icon. Rather, they exhibit the badge of the respective clan of the player, similar to other Clan Castle reinforcements.

Comparisons

  • The Skeleton has multiple parent troops, which include the Witch, the Drop Ship, and the temporary Skeleton Barrel. It is the only sub-troop with such a distinction.
  • Training, placing, or donating the Stone Slam, part of one of the six sub-troops (Golemite, Lava Pup, Yetimite, Big Boy, and Ice Pup), cannot be done directly from the Clan Castle. However, its parent troops are trainable, placeable, and donatable.
  • The scenery boasts a total of 13 diverse units, such as the Skeleton, Barbarian, Goblin, Balloon, Hog Rider, Barbarian King, P.E.K.K.A, Baby Dragon, Archer Queen, Grand Warden, Dragon Rider, Cannon Cart, and Party Wizard. Notably, the Skeleton makes an appearance exclusively in the Pirate Scenery and the 9th Clashiversary Scenery.
  • Once a troop’s health level is reached, it has the ability to summon sub-troops such as the Skeleton and the Big Boy. It is important to note that the Skeleton is not just a miniature version of its parent troop, unlike some other sub-troops.
  • The Skeleton, along with Lava Pups and Bats, is one of the three troops that are unable to level up.
  • The Skeleton troop is absolutely incapable of being upgraded, alongside Lava Pups and Bats.
