Headhunter Clash of Clans, Headhunter COC

Headhunter COC | Headhunter Clash of Clans

“Headhunter COC has just one job: taking out enemy heroes. As her other job, she works at the village apothecary. She’s lightweight enough to jump over walls, and her poisoned weapons make her targets move and attack slower.”

Headhunter COC Summary Points

  • In order to acquire the Headhunter troop, it is necessary to enhance the Dark Barracks to level 9. This particular upgrade is only accessible once the player has achieved Town Hall level 12.
  • In battles, Headhunters give priority to attacking Heroes and will ignore other enemy buildings and troops as long as there are still enemy Heroes present. They do this even if they are being attacked by Clan Castle troops or Skeleton Trap skeletons. It’s important to note that the defending Grand Warden is not considered a Hero, but rather a defense.
  • Once all enemy Heroes have been vanquished, Headhunters will redirect their focus to the closest building, irrespective of its type. However, if they sense the presence of enemy units in close proximity that possess the ability to retaliate, they will engage in combat.
  • The attacks of the Headhunter have a Poison Spell effect that results in a short-term deceleration of the troops and heroes being targeted. It is important to note that this poison effect does not have any impact on buildings and does not cause harm independently.
    • It’s important to note that a defending Grand Warden is classified as a building and therefore cannot be affected by the Headhunter’s abilities.
  • It should be noted that headhunters have the ability to bypass walls and reach targets that are situated behind them.
  • The movement speed of the Headhunter is equivalent to that of Goblins, Sneaky Goblins, Minions, and Miners.

Headhunter Clash of Clans Strategies

Offensive Strategy

  • It’s not necessary to use Jump or Earthquake Spells when utilizing Headhunters in your attack since they have the capability to jump over Walls on their own. It’s more effective to include them in your primary army during a hybrid attack. Their distinctive skills make them the perfect choice for eliminating enemy heroes, freeing up your other troops to concentrate on other objectives.
  • A useful tactic in Clash of Clans is utilizing Headhunters to draw out the opponent’s Clan Castle, especially if they have a hero in it. Because Headhunters have limited health points, it may be necessary to employ multiple Headhunters or provide them with protection using a durable character such as a Giant.
  • If all enemy heroes are down, they will alternatively target enemy Clan Castle troops. This is useful on bases that already have their heroes down, either because they are regenerating or being upgraded.
    • Bases guarded by powerful heroes are seldom vulnerable to enemy assaults, as their defenses are impregnable. Any would-be attackers must either set off the Clan Castle’s defenses or expend a considerable amount of effort to take out each hero one by one.
  • Including a Headhunter or two while performing a Queen Walk/Charge can provide significant benefits, as long as it is not attacked by defenses. This can save the usage of Poison Spells or Freeze Spells that are typically used against heroes.
    • A strategy that can prove highly effective during a battle between the Archer Queen and the Barbarian King is to utilize the following tactic. This approach can help the Archer Queen conserve her Royal Cloak ability for later use in the attack.
    • You can also sneak one in during a Suicide Hero, where the planned objectives are near, or include an enemy hero to save some health of the hero.
  • If a defending Hero needs to go down to execute the strategy you’re doing, but your main army won’t deal with that Hero, you can send a group of Headhunters combined with the Grand Warden’s Eternal Tome ability to make the Headhunters immune to all of the damage that they would take getting to that Hero, effectively making them powerful Hero killers.

Defensive Stratagy

  • If you need reliable defense against enemy heroes, look no further than the Headhunters. These troops are especially effective against ground-based or airborne foes, including the formidable Grand Warden. But even without enemy heroes present, these units can still poison attackers and offer crucial support for your defense. Don’t take any chances – make sure Headhunters are part of your Clan Castle’s defense strategy.
  • Utilizing Headhunters as a defense mechanism against a Queen Charge can prove to be remarkably potent. With their ability to inflict high levels of damage and slow down their opponents with poison, they can compel the Archer Queen to resort to using her ability, despite being affected by Poison Spells. If the attacker fails to respond promptly by casting spells like Lightning or Freeze, the Headhunters can effortlessly eliminate the Archer Queen, even if she has activated her ability.
  • If you’re looking for a reliable way to stop Siege Machines, Defensive Headhunters are your go-to counter. They work wonders against most Siege Machines, but not Siege Barracks. The poison effect of Defensive Headhunters will effectively slow down the movement and attack of Siege Machines, making them almost useless.
  • To ensure the safety of heroes, headhunters may go undercover. However, with the aid of Inferno Towers and Scattershot, these threats can be neutralized.
    • When dealing with Headhunters safeguarded by a Grand Warden’s ability, one effective way to slow them down is by deploying a Tornado Trap. However, be sure to consider the value of keeping your Heroes protected versus the usefulness of the Tornado Trap. If you’re a Town Hall 15 player, another option is to utilize a Poison Spell Tower. While not as potent as a Tornado Trap, it offers greater flexibility and can be used repeatedly.

Upgrade Differences

  • Visual changes occur for the Headhunter at levels 1 and 3.
    • The individual known as the Headhunter is a female figure donning a robe that features a combination of purple and black hues, effectively concealing her physique. Her face remains hidden in shadows, with the exception of her dark eyes that showcase a unique yellow-orange sclera.
    • Once the character progresses to level 2, the robe covering the face is adorned with a silver trim and a poison symbol is incorporated at the back of the robe.
    • Once you reach level 3, you will notice some fancy upgrades to your character’s appearance. Specifically, the trim on the robe will turn a shiny gold color and the gloves will gain some elegant gold accents. Additionally, the symbol on the robe will also gain a touch of gold to match the new look.

Trivia

  • In a fully upgraded set, your Army Camps can accommodate up to 53 Headhunters. By adding the 8 that can fit into a maxed-out Clan Castle, this number increases to 61. During battles, you can further boost your Headhunter count by using four fully upgraded Clone Spells (three from the regular spell inventory and one from a max-level Clan Castle), which will create an additional 28 Headhunters, bringing the total to a formidable 89.
    • It is not advisable to employ headhunters to attack buildings as they are generally ineffective against structures. Additionally, it is worth noting that you won’t require many headhunters for this purpose.
  • During the Livestream, TV Royale made a statement revealing that the Headhunter had been on the hunt for Heroes. Interestingly, the two suspects originally thought to be responsible were Bandit from Clash Royale and Tara from Brawl Stars.
  • It is widely believed that Headhunters have a hand in creating Dark Elixir Troops, or at the very least, Poison Spells.
  • At every level, the Headhunter, P.E.K.K.A, Yeti, Dragon, Dragon Rider, and Electro Titan have unique upgrade variations.
  • When watching the trailer, viewers may notice that the third card displayed is the Clash of Clans Logo. However, upon examining the game’s artwork, it appears that the character only carries two cards. It remains unclear whether the character utilizes any additional cards during battles aside from the sword cards. The Dark Barracks, accessible at level 9, is the sole location where cards are visible, and it contains three cards – two sword cards and one crown card.
  • In the Home Village, there are a few troops that have lower levels compared to others, which include the Headhunter, Dragon Rider, and Electro Titan. It might be worth considering these troops when planning your strategy.
  • In the event that there are no Clan Castle Troops, she is left with only two preferred target stages, alongside the Lava Hound and Ice Hound. It’s worth noting that she is one of the three troops with three preferred target stages.
  • On Reddit, Rytzyjen drew a comparison between the Headhunter’s hood and Raven, a character from DC Comics.
  • One of her cards features a Hero crown, indicating her preference for targeting Heroes over other units.
  • It’s worth noting that the Clash Royale game currently doesn’t include the Dragon, Yeti, and Dragon Rider among the Home Village troops, with the exception of Super Troops (excluding the Inferno Dragon).
