Witch COC Summary

  • To obtain the Witch COC, an exceptional Dark Elixir troop, you must first reach Dark Barracks level 5 and have Town Hall 9 in Clash of Clans.
  • The Witch unleashes a barrage of blue projectiles and possesses the power to summon Skeletons – battle-hardened warriors from past conflicts. It’s important to note that each Witch COC can only summon a limited number of Skeletons to the battlefield at any given time. Please consult the table below for further details.
  • The Witch’s appearance is characterized by her short, purple hair cascading down to her shoulders and striking, pink eyes that radiate light. Her outfit comprises two brilliant golden shoulder pieces, a golden belt, two gold bracelets, and a tattered skirt. Additionally, she accessorizes with a raggedy purple cape and brandishes a staff embellished with a goat’s skull.
  • When Witches unleash their attack, they show no mercy and strike the nearest building in sight. However, they won’t hesitate to retaliate against any enemy Clan Castle troops, Skeleton Trap skeletons, or Heroes they encounter, whether it’s because they were attacked or if they are near friendly troops under siege. Once they’ve successfully eliminated all nearby enemy troops, the Witches will then proceed to demolish the closest structure without any hesitation.

Strategies

Offensive Strategy

  • For optimal attack strategy, position the Witch COC at the back due to her low hit points and support troop capabilities. Do not group multiple Witches, as they are vulnerable to being wiped out by a Mortar. Utilize the Witch’s Skeletons to distract defense buildings and keep them occupied.
  • Incorporating one or two Witches in your attack plan is crucial. The Skeletons may offer minor damage bonuses and take hits, but the Witches are capable of summoning a large number of Skeletons as you progress to higher levels. Therefore, they are a highly valuable addition to attacks such as Yeti Smash, Super Archer Smash, or BoWitch.
  • When it comes to serving as a tank for witches, Golems, and Ice Golems are unequivocally the most recommended options. They possess far more hitpoints than even P.E.K.K.As and do not require any additional DPS. In addition to these, Giants are also an excellent choice for Witch Slap or other Witch-based attacks as they ably help funnel the Witches. It is highly recommended to deploy a few giants and 2-3 Witches at the start of an attack as it works beautifully for this purpose.
  • The Skeletons of the Witch are ideal for supporting low-damage tanks, such as Giant, Golem, or Ice Golem, to annihilate buildings.
  • Keep in mind that the Witch’s Skeletons can be extremely overpowering, but buildings with splash-damaging abilities, such as Mortars and Wizard Towers, can take them out with ease. It is important to note that despite Mortars having a slower fire rate than the Witches’ spawn rate, they can still effectively wipe them out.
  • When attacking in the game, it is crucial to exercise caution and be mindful of the Bomb Tower. The tower is a formidable adversary that can swiftly eliminate Skeletons and then move on to target the Witches. If the Witches spawn another wave, the Bomb Tower can wreak havoc by unleashing its death bomb, causing significant damage to the Witch army. To counter this threat, it is imperative to have robust tanks like Giants to support the Witches and prevent the Bomb Tower from locking on to them. It is worth noting that other defenses like Multi-target Inferno Towers and Scattershots can pose a similar danger and must be dealt with accordingly.
  • For a higher chance of success during a raid, it is imperative that you utilize Lightning Spells to swiftly eliminate Wizard Towers, multi-target Inferno Towers, or Scattershots. This will significantly decrease the base’s splash damage capacity, resulting in a greater number of Skeletons surviving for longer periods. These Skeletons can then serve as a distraction for the defense, providing an opportunity for your stronger troops to take down the remaining barriers.
  • When dealing with a Witch on defense, it’s imperative to use a single Lightning Spell or Poison Spell to put an end to Skeleton distractions effectively. In the absence of these spells, it’s crucial to lure the Witch out and overpower her with a significant number of troops. However, be aware that the troops may get sidetracked attacking the Skeletons rather than focusing on the Witch Clash of Clans.
  • To effectively dismantle enemy bases, utilizing an army solely comprised of Witches, reinforced by spells, is a highly potent strategy. The Skeletons summoned by these troops possess the capability to overpower most defenses with ease. However, defenses such as Mortars, Wizard Towers, and Bomb Towers remain formidable opponents against the Skeleton swarm. Even walls of high levels will prove futile before the united strength of the Skeletons. To secure triumph with this tactic, it is imperative to ensure the survival of the Witches. Any loss of their numbers will result in the Skeleton horde dwindling, ultimately leading to defeat. To avert such an outcome, it is advisable to pair the Witches with tank units like the Golem.

Defensive Strategy

  • The Giant Bomb is an effective tool in defending against Witches, capable of inflicting severe damage on them and wiping out any Skeletons within its range.
  • Bomb Towers are highly effective in annihilating Skeletons and can inflict heavy damage to Witches upon their obliteration.
  • When defending your Clan Castle, be on high alert for Witches. They are a formidable force, particularly when multiple Witches are present. The Skeletons they summon are highly proficient at overwhelming attackers and can even defeat a Barbarian King or Archer Queen. However, if you target the Witch immediately upon deployment, you can prevent this from happening. Keep in mind that the Witch herself is vulnerable to troop attacks and has moderate hitpoints. Additionally, her Skeletons do not have splash damage. To fortify your defense, it is recommended to pair the Witch with a Valkyrie or Baby Dragon to compensate for her weaknesses.
  • Valkyries prove to be a formidable force against Witches as they possess the ability to eliminate Skeletons with ease and make their way toward the Witch in no time. In addition, Wizards have the capacity to obliterate several Skeletons simultaneously, making them a valuable asset in battles against Witches.
  • Air attacks pose a serious threat to witches as their Skeletons are unable to retaliate against airborne units. Defending witches can be easily wiped out by dragons or electro-dragons.
  • Ensure the utmost protection of the witches in the Clan Castle by placing it behind walls to prevent easy destruction.
  • P.E.K.K.As can be effectively distracted and defeated by witches. P.E.K.K.As can be effectively distracted and defeated by witches.
  • Using Giants in tandem with Witches is a solid strategy. The Giants will act as a shield, allowing the Witches to summon their Skeletons without interruption. But beware, the opposing team can easily ruin this plan by employing a Poison Spell to eliminate the Witches.
  • Usually, a Giant Bomb and a Bomb will kill a Witch of the equivalent level.
  • In order to effectively remove a single Witch from the map, a Spring Trap must be at level 2 or higher, as Skeletons will not trigger it. This is crucial information to keep in mind.

Upgrade Differences

  • The Witch COC undergoes visual changes at levels 3, 4, 5, and 6.
    • Upon initial observation, the Witch presents herself as a figure adorned in magenta attire with slightly disheveled edges and a small number of perforations. She brandishes a staff whose pinnacle is fashioned in the likeness of a ram’s cranium with glistening horns. Her hair boasts a purple hue and cascades down to the hemline of her dress.
    • Upon reaching level 3, the Witch shall be granted a golden headdress. Her dress shall be rendered hole-free and smooth, and her staff shall receive two golden rings around its handle.
    • Upon reaching level 5, it is imperative that the Witch’s headpiece be purple and that her staff’s horns are pink. No deviations from this standard will be acceptable.
    • Upon reaching level 6, it is imperative to note that the Witch’s headpiece undergoes a significant transformation. The headpiece gains a bold and striking gold border, and its shape is altered to a sharp and powerful triangle. This change is crucial to understand and should not be overlooked.
